Bringing the Vintage Game to Tallahassee

Rather Unique FLA will be the only place in town with the vintage NBA, NHL, and NCAA snapback caps and sweaters. Get at me if you want to reserve one or two before stock gets low!

Craiglist Run!

The other day, a comrade and I made a Craiglist pick up on the other side of town. I couldn't help but notice the greenery. One of the best things about living in the South, is that you don't have to plan your day just to see beauty. Add that to the fact that we picked up a 36 inch HDtv for 40 bucks, and you got a good day on your hands.

Around FAMU

We met Charo, from Miami, on Florida A&M University's infamous "Set". The "Set" is pretty vacant during the summer term but it can be a huge party/fashion show/dance off during Fall months. I applaud her for wearing black in mid day Tallahassee. A good amount of T-shirts are essential, if you plan on surviving a typical N. Florida summer. Props go out for the Billie Holiday screen.

Some decide to venture away from the tees and this is a great example of it. Tween hails from Miami and definitely brings some of the South Florida style to FAMU. The pink button down is straight from the "Miami Vice" era, and the dark brown desert boots are a really nice touch.

Humidity Tastes Like Sunny D

When walking a few blocks in North Florida heat, it can feel like one just finished playing a full court basketball game. We posted up at a few places on the Southside of Tallahassee looking to photograph a few brave souls. The intense ninety six degree heat sent most scurrying for air conditioning or at least a nice patch of shade. We did manage to scratch up a few pics though.

The aforementioned surplus of heat is just a daily routine for most Floridians. It’s a part of what makes Florida different from any other place in this world. The culture varies from region to region, just like many large states. North Florida is viewed as “Southern”, while Central and South Florida are multicultural hubs. Each region has its own mix of people, way of talking, dressing and expressing themselves. With a focus on the dress aspect, we set out to catch the Florida "lifestyle" on camera.
